At times my brain doesn't translate quickly when I am in a stressful situation, so I have created a PDF list of vital phone numbers in english that can be of great use in emergency situations. Click and print Marseille's logo to the right.  I have it printed out and stuck to my refrigerator alongside my french version.  I have included the corresponding french list also and some useful web references if you simply have questions about the services.

Public Services Information - Allô, service public was founded in 2004 answering questions related to public services in French only, but the website offers information of sections of public affairs in English. The complete website in French is clean and easy to read in French with easily ported to respective regions of France.

Useful Info/Numbers for Marseille - This is the hub of Marseille's official information on services directed by the Mairie de Marseille.

Americans in Toulouse - as far as a simple, clear and easy to read info on many aspects of living in France, this is one of the best guides I have found. The section on the medical system was especially helpful when I started trying to figure things out.
